It’s rare that a month goes by at The Busy Writer without some mention of George Saunders. This month is a mega-doozie as he’s just started a substack post so you can mainline purest Saunders. We thought we’d pop in for a few minutes, but he’s such amazing company, we spend long hours with him!

Eley Williams is not only one of the greatest British story writers of recent years, she is also the nicest person in the world! This piece combines both superpowers in one overwhelmingly lovely and edifying interview!

This is a really exciting idea. The Stinging Fly gave four brilliant writers one night to write a story. At 7pm they received their prompt. At 7am they had to submit their story. Which is fascinating enough. In this podcast, the editor, Thomas Morris, talks to the writers about this rather unique experience…
