Comma Press, in partnership with the University of Central Lancashire, have announce that the annual Dinesh Allirajah Prize for Short Fiction 2022 is open to submissions!
This year the focal theme we are asking writers to respond to is “crime.”
The winner will receive £500 and publication in Northern Soul.
Submissions close 29th October. Get writing!
Many US short story magazines are run out by academic institutions. This month we’re spotlighting just one of them – the journal of Emerson College in Boston, Ploughshares. It has a very prestigious reputation and publishes some great work. Their submissions are open until January.
