Preti Taneja is the co founder of Visual Verse, the online anthology of art and words, and the campaigning collective ERA Films. She has worked on minority rights and human rights abuses worldwide, including with refugees fleeing Iraq and Syria. In 2017-18 she will teach Creative Writing in HMP Whitemore, a category A prison. She works at Warwick University in the department of English and Comparative Literary Studies and the Centre for Human Rights in Practice where she teaches on the MA in Writing Wrongs. Her writing has been published in the Guardian, Observer, New Statesman, she also broadcasts regularly for BBC Radio 3 and 4. We That Are Young, published by Galley Beggar Press is her debut novel.
